Solomon’s journey serves as a powerful reminder that human productivity is deeply tied to spiritual accountability. Though he began his reign with a divine gift of wisdom and a strong love for God, Solomon ultimately drifted into a disobedient lifestyle of indulgence and idolatry that left him entirely empty. However, his story ends with a renewal of faith in Ecclesiastes, where he ultimately concludes that our earthly existence is not in vain when anchored in God. His final message emphasizes that because we were created by God to be productive, how we approach our daily work, creation, and output matters immensely, and every action will eventually be evaluated by the Creator.
