In his letter to the Galatians, Paul confronts a controversy regarding the requirements for salvation, warning the church against a false gospel. He specifically targets the Judaizers, who claimed that keeping the Jewish law and undergoing circumcision were necessary to be saved. To defend the true message of Christ's grace, Paul asserts his apostolic authority by explaining that he was called directly by Jesus Christ. He further validates his leadership by highlighting his transformation from a persecutor to a minister and noting his past interactions with other key church leaders.
